Hello all -
I'm passing along an open part-time position with the City of
Somerville. I'm shifting my duties, so this is a slightly revised
version of the position I've held for the past year.
The SomerPromise Director has dual reporting to the Mayor and
Superintendent's Office and is charged with spearheading the
SomerPromise initiative. SomerPromise is an effort to coordinate and
plan service delivery to children and youth in the city, so as to
improve life outcomes. The Director will facilitate data-informed
planning among stakeholders from the Schools, the City, nearby
universities, the Housing Authority, non-profit providers, and
residents.

I've been working for the Mayor's Office for seven years and with the
Schools for the past year, and have found the experience to be wonderful
for me. The best parts are the people, the commute, the ease of
balancing home and work, the very interesting policy
questions, and the ability to make an impact on my own community.
