Job Description:
A large and well known Client of ours is looking to bring on a Program Manager to work on-site in Burlington, MA.
This Program Manager will be the primary point of contact within the Professional Services team, responsible for managing projects based on our solutions and suite of software.
As such, you will be the primary point of contact for all project related activities.
Ultimately responsible for ensuring a successful implementation at the customer's site for the projects that you lead.
Responsibilities:
Participate in scoping exercises to help sales executives and pre-sales engineers define the services portion of our solution proposal
Participate in, and co-lead with a Technical Account manager, the Functional Requirements Workshop / Project Kick-off Meeting. Draft the Functional Requirements Specification for the project.
Manage changes to project scope, through a formal change management policy
Resource Management: Coordinate activities of the project team and customer from project inception through successful completion. Resolve resources conflicts with other Project Managers.
Integration Management: Devise initial project plan, monitor the execution of various activities, and coordinate any changes.
Revenue & Cost Management: Manage and track project budget, utilization, billing and other project-related financials.
Time Management: Manage and track resource scheduling, and project time utilization.
Project Communication: Track progress and report status internally and to clients throughout the project life cycles.
Risk Management: Identify, analyze, and respond to project risks, as they occur.
Quality Management: Lead quality acceptance activities, for each of the project milestones
Coordinate transition from Professional Services to on-going Support, at the completion of the project
Project Management Tools: Enter projects into our Online Project Management System and ensure tasks are constantly updated to reflect actual project status.
Standards Management: Define and participate in the definition of projects standards and best practices
Requirements:
B.S./M.S in Computer Science, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent
5 years of experience managing projects with a background in professional services in the area of enterprise-grade and business-critical software and/or applications
Experience managing Full Life Cycle Solution Delivery projects
Prior experience should include exposure to technical activities such as customer software development, systems integration, software quality assurance, product development or similar
Excellent understanding of IT technologies and components
Efficient at anticipating problems and initiating corrective action
Excellent analytical, organizational and communication capabilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent inter-personal skills
Available for up to 25%-30% travel
