Good news out there, the Department of Labor reports that job openings began exceeding the number of new hires. That means there will be a larger pool for you to choose from. At first glance, it would make sense for there to be a direct 100% correlation between job openings and new hires - one opening, one hire, but hires trail openings because the hiring process takes time. Also, as you know, companies will pull back job postings, hire internal candidates, and sometimes not post "real" jobs they plan to hire for.
View this as a positive sign and use it as encouragement to get out there. The market is heating up!
